In January 2025, Bikubenfonden’s Art Hub moved into their new spaces at Thoravej 29. Archival Studies has been commissioned to design the interiors, furniture, storage, and wayfinding systems for the workshops. We have developed a range of plywood workshop equipment. All parts are bolted together, assembled for disassembly, so that parts can easily obtain new configurations, be repaired, and be exchanged to prolong the lifespan of this heavy use utility. Rooted in Thoravej 29’s identity as a shared community building, this furniture series will be fully open-sourced, allowing anyone to build their own Workshop Table, Workshop Trestle, or Workbench to suit their needs. As the first in the series, the source files of the Workshop Table are now available for download. Find them further down below.
