Select Furniture Studies is a special edition of furniture that is available through Studio X, and which was launched during 3 Days of Design in Copenhagen.
The furniture in this edition is finished in linseed paint with a luminous yet deep, warm and cool, magenta color, which references the use of this magical color by the Mexican architect Luis Barragán.
A reddish magenta is a hot underlayer, while a bluish magenta is the cool overlayer. The two colors work together with the grain of the pine plywood to create a dynamic visual effect that comes to life with an energizing glow when hit with direct sunlight, but remains a stable and deep color when seen in shadow.
We have once again worked with Davide Wise of Forthcoming Studio for the graphic identity of the exhibition.
