As part of our Interior 02 project, we developed a series of hand-painted curtains that make use of color and composition for spatial effect.
While working on this renovation project, one of the first things we noticed about the space was the green color of Birch foliage reflecting into the apartment through every window.
The diffused fields of yellow-greens, blue-greens, and blues painted onto the textiles seek to emphasize this effect and to create a visual union between these outdoor views and the white walls.
The fields of color are chosen and placed strategically: warm yellow-greens to highlight the warm light entering through the Southern windows, and cool blue-greens to deepen the shadows of the North-facing rooms.
Additionally, the specific shades we chose work to balance and complement the substantial warmth of the natural Douglas Fir flooring.
In collaboration with Louise Lyngh Bjerregaard, Johanne Osmark Genz, and Celine Rosey. Textiles from Creation Baumann.
